Would not believe it!!!!
Yesterday the Trol starter failed, local factors could not source one, so today bit the bullet and stripped it down, as suspected full of Slindon crud, replaced one of the races from stock the others greased up but got a broken/rusted brush spring that I am struggling to find a match for at the mo, anyway point is.......
The moment my motor is off the road the phone goes mental, two walk in freezers not working, a kitchen shut down with no gas (extractor interlock failure), intruder alarm malfunction, so when Mrs got home at 3 pm stole her motor got back home 6 pm, everyone was panicking like mad, 1st freezer condenser fan failure, not too much I could do bar mount an old industrial blower on front of it to move air, fan to be ordered, the other freezer was wall socket failure, one of a twin so easy fix, no gas was pressure sensor in ducting blocked, but getting to it was another matter, and I still have my starter to finish off, what a day!!! That sounds like a mare of a day, how did you sort the brush spring?
My day went downhill yesterday after lunch at the new job I have been in a week. Pressure washing the engine bay of a customers Cobra covered in bodyshop residue prior to fitting the new engine, I was asked to do the front and rear suspension. After I finished the rear suspension I noticed water had sprayed out from under the tonneau cover, it was soaked inside as the transmission tunnel and back panel were loose to gain access to the propshaft and gearbox. Ironically the tonneau cover was on to keep the rain off the interior! I’m not making excuses, I may have realised my mistake beforehand had I stripped the car but I came into the job halfway through. |
