Howdy, love your mods by the way..

FormerSmurf 20-01-2015 17:17

It was a tricky mod, still pending results.

Fez_uk 20-01-2015 17:30

I'm thinking of doing the same mod, I've heard it can increase my mpg to 60mpg!!!!!

Mine hasn't got that far, maybe I need to look at the flux capacitor?

It depends what type you have, if you have gone for the in vent type, this depends on fan back pressure and adjustment of the knobbly thing and the vent angle ,I think there is a gauge option for this in ECUTalk but I may be wrong,
However if you have gone for the dangely on a piece of elastic type these rely on ambient wafting and cabin air through flow,It's very Technical :lol:lol

Air freshner Hazards be warned !!

Welcome but watch those air freshners!

I know of several instances where they have caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage on Mercedes Saloon cars when the freshners have been clipped into the centre dash air vents.

Over time some of the liquid has dribbled down the dashboard and entered the conveniently centre mounted radio / command system.

Result has been anything from loss of display function on the radio to loss of Satnav Command etc. Bills to repair in some cases exceeding £1500 !!

I suppose I must consider myself lucky then, what dribbled down from the centre-mounted Febreze air freshener in my Honda Jazz only stripped the paint from the surrounding plastic, didn't reach the stereo, bet it wouldn't have been much cheaper than that Mercedes unit!

My high performance air filter is a very specialist device, not for the faint hearted.

To the casual observer, it appears to be a small netted bag, which discretely (for added horses and turbo noises) sits underneath the seat. I would try and explain the science, but my "950bhp 59.5mpg*" Terrano is a mystery.

*Some of these stats are not accurate.

I meant freshener. My air filter is extremely generic.
