They're bloody huge and weigh a ton, but do have a lot of internal space.
My head has been turned by the Uro Camper style, something like this, or something like this, or at a push an http://www.alu-cab.co.za/.
I like the idea of accessing the living space from inside the car.
I have researched this a little. ;)
I have a new bed design coming for mine over Christmas.

It looks a lot of motor for the money so just how easy is it to detach the living quarters though and how would you store it ?

The Earth Roamer looks well solid I guess it several times more expensive.

I am at an age where I would sooner stop in a Hotel even if it was less than 4* or Pension Accomodation.lol

That I'm not sure of, but looking at it I presume its just a case of deploying the 4 legs, undoing the straps from the pickup bed and whatever other attachments it has and then pulling out from underneath it.

Leaving you with a functional 4x4 again to go and hit the lanes with :naughty

Wrong colour and nowhere near enough mods for sure :naughty I'd get some 33's on that, snorkel etc and certainly wouldn't go for that red :( Seems the Navara's are plentiful in the KL0 silver same as my Terrano or that nice dark blue :naughty

My French neighbour has one of these on his Navara, he uses it to follow motor rallies around France in the summer. It is VERY well fitted out inside, with loo/shower unit, kitchen/sink unit, good sleeping accomodation etc. He has fitted solar panels on the roof for extra leccie into a spare battery.

Easily demountable on 4 x extending legs, and well balanced, he says it drives perfectly.

If the steering wheel is on the right side of the car, tell him I'll make him an offer [emoji38]
