Here i'm again.

This time i bought a Ford Maverick 2.7 LWB (1997/12).
In good overall condition.

Changed some parts with the Terrano 2 (wheels, spacers and radio), installed the steering idler brace and there we go...

The first photo after the changes.

And removed part of the rear hook, but left the bar to protect the rear bumper.

Comparing with the SWB, this one have a big ass.....

macabethiel 30-12-2018 22:23

Great looking motor

Salt is a pain in the UK I guess in Portugal sunshine is a pain when it comes to interior trim.

Indeed, the sunshine is great but the paint and the plastics hate it.

I agree, but i can't fit 7 in a SWB Terrano.

I can fit a 9 in a SWB Patrol (160/260), but not confortable seat for the mother-in-law!!! :sly

It is easy to forget how lucky we are to have access to such good quality and sensible priced food !!!!!!!
We eat out much more in Portugal than we ever did in UK!!!!! Mainly because it is such an enjoyable experience and such good value!!!!! ------ and I am quite fond of red wine!!!!

In the road not much diference, low range on the high beam.

Offroading, way better then the standard. Better light, brighter.

lfteixeira 17-02-2019 19:31

Hello everybody.

Keeping the journal updated, a little tlc in my Maverick this saturday.

The front was bothering me, as the old supports from the front protection were sticking out of the bumper and could hurt someone.
Out with the bumper, removed the old supports and while at it installed new ones for the new LED lights.

Cleaned everything and painted to old the rust for a few more years.

While painting i also gave a try with the front grille.

Thoughts?

It will be on the VIN plate in the engine bay, it's under a section called colour/trim etc

Once you've got that I have a comprehensive paint code list here;
