As for a change of vehicle, unfortunately that’s entirely up to you and your other half to sort out. Is it possible to get a low cost limited mileage insurance policy to allow you to keep your truck. If it can be stored off road keep the vehicle SORN for a while and use this option to buy a month or so tax at a time.
