My day went downhill yesterday after lunch at the new job I have been in a week. Pressure washing the engine bay of a customers Cobra covered in bodyshop residue prior to fitting the new engine, I was asked to do the front and rear suspension. After I finished the rear suspension I noticed water had sprayed out from under the tonneau cover, it was soaked inside as the transmission tunnel and back panel were loose to gain access to the propshaft and gearbox.
Ironically the tonneau cover was on to keep the rain off the interior!
I’m not making excuses, I may have realised my mistake beforehand had I stripped the car but I came into the job halfway through.
Oh man that sounds like an embarrassing moment, hope they didn’t look bad towards you.
