I would go for higher rated springs... They are actually pretty easy to swap out.

I fitted them to mine, and never looked back, although I did go for a 2" lift, so fitted longer shocks as well.

When towing, we usually fold the rear seats down, then load it up with 12 ferrets, in 2 cages on a custom made shelf, a 3Kw Genny, 40Kgs of Ferret litter, 40l of Petrol, a Mobicool Freezer full of the Ferrets frozen food, a portable Aircon unit, and other bits that fit in... We then have the 8foot long roof box, which we put lighter things in, like spare fleece ferret bedding, and clothes for us. I just drop the head lights down with the switch, and never had a problem with them dazzling.
