First you should check the regulations in your country if you intend driving on public roads, with no ARB on the rear it will lean into corners a lot more than it does with it on, off is good for off road but high speed on road it can lead to frightening lean if not careful, I am assuming the front has already been removed, Rick

Regulations in Portugal???
Tyres sizes, external upgrade (winch, snorkel, steel bumpers) they pay attention, but nothing serious. Mechanical there isnt' a problem. In the front i didn't remove anything. I had couple 4x4's with IFS and the front drive shafts usually are fragile. So, messing with the suspension, only in the rear and only if it worth it, otherwise i won't change nothing. I can't increase the Terrano height or else it won't fit in the garage! Thanks for the input. |

OK understand not doing the front, removing the rear will give better articulation of the rear axle, I have not driven one with just the rear removed so cannot say how it will handle, my advice would be just unbolt the lower link on one side, this disables it, and give it a try, if you are not happy bolt it back again, Rick

Well, update.
Rear sway bar removed. the axle had 35cm from the whell arch and without the sway bar increased to 40cm, not bad after removing a couple of bolts! |

A little update.
Some minor changes on the looks (black wheels and a little polish all around). Also removed the mud flaps, after 2 of them where ripped by rocks! It made sense removing the other 2. Photos: |

Update.
Nissan Terrano still alive. Some little issues to solve: - Left window doesn't work - Outside boot from the front driveshaft keeps popping out - From the front left wheel when moving it makes a "buzzzzz" sound that change with the speed, isn't affected by the brakes and changes if i move the steering wheel. Some photos... |

Front left wheel buzz is probably the constant velocity joint going bad, more normally called a clicking noise when on lock, but could be auto hub needing attention, Rick

Great photos as always
My old terrano used to have a buzz from one of the auto locking hubs. Turned out to be one of the brake rings inside the hub that was jammed partially engaged due the the lugs being broken. I replaced one set of brake rings and after they broke I replaced with AVM Manual Locking Hubs. |
