Jim, macabethiel, guys lets stay on point here ie. winch bumpers.

He didn't ask about the chassis issues and I think we can assume Zippy's mate has checked the chassis thing as part of his purchase checks.
Oh thought it was Navara, I wonder what they have in Australia, might be a case of find a picture of one he likes and get someone to fab it for him, like going to hairdresser

Absolutely you are 100% correct off topic was not what Zippy asked about.

Thumbs down We do have some interesting meandering though don't we ?

I have no issue with being distracted by post replies and going off topic - in real life conversations are like that.

When reading posts it often triggers memories that I often feel I need to share.

So back on Topic - sorry I know nothing about winches. I will try to say nothing if I know nothing. After 41 years of being married I should have learn't to keep my own council.

Oh no there I go again........

I think the point barrbeast was making is that someone asked for some advice/info/help about winch bumpers for a d40 and the first and almost only replies were about the chassis breaking in two, and as I read them they seemed pretty negative
No wonder the poor guy hasn't replied

Not sure where you can get one from Zippy but also know of someone else that I follow on Instagram with quite a bit of exposure and they have just brought a D40 to start overlanding in and I think that they want to get a Steel Winch Bumper.

I'll ask them where and when they are going to get theirs and you might be able to do 2 on one order for a bit of "forum discount" if we're clever about it?

Hey, Zippy, Did you know them D40's are prone to Chassis Snap!!!!!
