Hi so how does the switch on dash operate 4 W/D as its electic, it has a gear lever to put in low, its auto with O/D switch on gear lever, sorry only know how to send photos via a E Mail address, don't know how to put one on here.

the small lever is your 4x4 selection is the switch not a power mode switch i am only in eastcombe not far from gloucester and in gloucester most friday nights at the englands glory pub london road if you ever want to pop round just give me a shout may be easier to have a chat and talk about advice needed regards

Best thing you can do is spend a tenner and join, you will then get all the info you could ever need, Rick

Hiya mate, on a conventional system the lever that puts it in low ratio simultaneously puts it in 4wd, on the Terrano 2's that gear lever goes from 2wd high to 4wd high then its own nuetral then 4wd low. If your lever ONLY puts it in low ratio then the switch on the dash you mentioned will more than likely be to engage 4wd. It could work a few ways, an electric motor or electro magnet on the gear box, pneumatically like the Suzuki Jimny or even hydraulically.
However if the lever does engage 4wd simultaneously and you have a 4wd related button on the dash then the button could be for a diff lock or anti roll bar disconnect like the girly Patrols have fitted (wait for it )

Again thank you all for your patience and help, to guy from Glos., when I tax and insure it for the road then ill come along, we use a Freelander but im a Yank man really and smoke a Gen., 2 Pontiac Trans Am, just saw this on E Bay and bought it in a whim.
I should know better maybe but Milners cheered me up as thought I had some sort of hybrid.

Default Speedo

Hi Guys me again, been out in the car and drives well, all seems good except no speedo, wish I had a manual, any way is it a cable driven or Electronic please.

The PR 50 r3mR has an electric switch. tad more economical in RWD only.

I got my handbook from e-bay they called it a Nissan Regulus it was spot on.
