Default It’s The Weekend!

So what’s everyone doing?

I’ve just been and collected a tool kit with roller cab and top box for my son. Most of the tools are either snap on or mac.

Pot of coffee then out to the project truck to change battery and nip the fan belt up. Probably give it a couple of hours charge too.

After that a bit more course work then a beer.

Another long weekend off so chilled out this morning, and out for a run in the rain, chilling out now as I'm waiting for the rugby to start. Too wet and miserable to make camping enjoyable, which is frustrating, but hey ho! Might go and have a look at the truck and tidy up some of the wiring for the lights and looking at wiring in some 18w led reversing lights...
Planning a bike ride tomorrow and more chill, which will involve a bit of work.
Watching a few videos https://bearfoottheory.com/4x4-merce...nversion-tour/ and getting seriously envious.

Angry BER costings spreadsheets

Over the next week I have to go through the dozens of lists of all the items that were classified as "BER" beyond economic repair and check contents that have been removed for clean and store. The company that removed the house contents listed everything they removed with photographs and written descriptions on lists. These list fell into either "BER" so were skipped after agreement by the insurers or sent for clean and store until we return to our home.

Piles of burns boxes, books, photographs and debris just had to be photographed. With one exception all electrical appliances were classed as "BER" so will be replaced on a like for like basis (new for old policy). My Cyrus Hi-Fi system was of sentimental value, it was sent for specialist clean & testing so has been saved. It cost over a£1000.00 to do this for me.

I have to put a current replacement value on all "BER" items listed.
This has to be done now so that we can get funds in place to pay for the items and order them for when we move back into our home. The Contractors target date is for completion by the third week of May.

Ted, I wouldn’t know where to begin mate. The completion of works by May sounds very positive though.

Me and the boy are having a very chilled out day today, I'm going to see if I can persuade him to venture out with me soon as I need to go get something, tomorrow if the weather is not to bad we will go fishing, we'll see though

Got the nice new battery on and adjusted up the alternator belt. Have been out for a good run round and filled it with diesel so all ready for mrs to take over driving it this week.

Doing a bit of pre mot work.
Just fitted new rear shockers as one of mine decided to s**t itself last week and now I'm on with sorting out the rear fog light as that has given up the ghost as well.
