I doesn't seem logical to have the roof raised so high, permanently, unless daddy owns an oilfield.
The interior looks ok and a comfy bed has no price. It's nice to have stand up room inside and that's what hinges were invented for.

Lastly, he needs to get a bit of sandpaper on that paint job, worst case of orange peel I've ever seen.

Has he done any strengthening to the roof as removing original will of weakened it tremendously.

I quite like it, for a budget its good, no higher than your average white van and probably a bit narrower. Not 100% on the colour but looks to have done a good job applying it

As for weakening the roof, unless he has cut the whole top off it'll be fine, I think what he's done is just cut the middle out which is only one ply of thin metal not meant to be structural!

I was thinking a bit more military looking... A bit darker than this one.



I also would consider Olive Drab...

Or maybe a Battle Ship Grey?

I like orange, something different. Thought I'd do the bumpers like in the pic but in Bedliner.
