Default 'wheel less' trailer

hi,

please excuse title, cant think of another way to describe what
i'm looking for.

basically seen a platform that presume locks on to the 50mm
ball and gives a few square feet of luggage capacity. bit like
a small trailer, without the wheels means not restricted speed
wise and more viable around town.

reason is on t2 with all 7 seats in place next to no boot, whilst
i've squeezed in a small 'umberella' folding pram there is no way
we vould get our larger tandem pram in. roof rack/box isnt really
viable height wise.

reckon a small paltform would do trick, possibly folding up once
parked to not foal a parking bay.

think seen them for say wheel chairs, maybe even as an alternative
to traditional bike racks.

Hi rbrt, I saw these years ago, you need to look for a towbar mounted luggage carrier, eg http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tow-bar-attach...d=p3286.c0.m14

Hope this helps, best regards, Rustic

Just found this also
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Thule-900-Back...d=p3286.c0.m14
thule do a product called easy base, as described in this item.

thanks rustic, trawled ebay with no joy last night....

like the look of the thule kit. downladed instructions
well made.

also locks on to ball, handy as still gto witter 4 bolt
bracket...

saw some motor bike racks with plates that bolt
onto bracket with standard 2 bolts system.

potential to build something looking at that first ad.

Default luugage carrier

i used to have one that bolted to the spare wheel carrier.you took off the wheel and it mounted on the studs.just a disc with a box section welded to it.you put the wheel back on then the rack slid into the box section and locked in with 2 lynch pins.had a luggage rack and cycle carrier attachments.if i remember correctly i got it from formula 4x4 for about 70 quid.
