I admire you wanting to fly the Terrano flag, but have you thought about a Subaru Forester?
You'd get a nice one for three grand. Reliable, good traction, sensible size. Just crossed my mind. Didn't take long, there's not much in the way. |

Know nothing about them although I do like them, the main appeal to my Granddad is my knowledge of them and the fact that if anything goes wrong with them I'll have an idea of what's wrong and will be able to fix it for him and usually be able to get parts easily enough

I've asked for some pics of the underside, but doubt I will get any.
You've only got to look at the towbar and exhaust backbox tip to know it's all going to be crusty underneath
