I hate landrovers, I don't care what anyone says there uncomfy damp noisy cold windy draughty sore on fuel, freeze in the winter time, get wet in the rain take for ever to get any heat into, massive steering wheels and no room for your right arm ..lol I hated mine and glad it failed its mot and got scrapped.. |

don'tlaugh but o have often fancied owning a disco. looked at everyone under 5k and ended up buying my present T2 for half that. a couple of years on I tried again this time 10k budget! found a beaut, FSH one owner 28k miles and multiple oil leaks! sticking with the T2 - again!

Got it at auction for £2,100, it was an N reg and it was about 8 years ago. Drove it 2 mile from auction site and the head gasket went (I suspect it had already gone when i got it) AA recovered it. Had head sent away and skimmed new gaskets fitted. Then it went in to limp mode, 2 auto sparkys later and a few ££££ limp mode sorted. Head went again. Turns out there was a fault on the block. Recomended new engine. Got engine from Ebay, company in Halifax. £1100 Turn out to be a scrap engine.....company refused to refund, so we took them to court. Was awarded £2000 compensation, as of yet im still waiting for it. New engine sent for full rebuild at a cost of £900. Mansfield Engine centre did a first class job on it too i may add. Engine refitted, and car ran like a dream..........UNTILL! The ring gear went on the fly wheel, great engine out again.....but, Landrover did not have any in stock and there was a back order of them 4 weeks old. Its not looking good. The car was dragged back and left out side my house, (Minus the engine) as the garage needed the room. Then some BASxxRD STOLE IT! How the hell they did it i dont know! In a way i was greatful to them, i was bloody sick of the damb thing. This was all over the course of about 1 year, in that time the car spent 2 months in total driving on the road, the rest it was broken down. And thats MY story about Landrovers. |

I dont hate all Landrovers, but we all got to have something to take the micky out of. Its like "The Irishman" Jokes, we got nothing against the Irish, but you got to pick someone. |
