Good man. I doubt they've ever been off before. Rick should be able to sort you out with replacements.

Items required 1pr Torsion bars & 1pr of adjuster housings.
Query, in the manual & parts list illustrations shows a rubber boot at both ends of torsion bar. My truck only has boots at adjuster (circlip) end & I would say never has had any at the front end is this right??
I don't suppose you have a good front bumper & grille as well ??

Let me know £££ & payment method etc
Thanks & regards Adrian
Re torsion bars £20 each plus postage bear in mind I will have to roll the scrapper to get them off.

Re front bumper, need a pic of yours to know as have several all different, Rick

Default Re Brake parts Etc

Good evening Rick,
sorry not been in touch, sadly my mother in law passed away late last week & my priorities changed for a day or two.
How are you getting on with the torsion bar removal ?
Do you happen to have a front ABS reluctor ring, I have got the n/s/f suspension rebuilt sans torsion bar, pulled hub for disc change & reluctor ring cracked / split & therefore turning on hub
Re: front bumper & grille
I have attached a picture of my front bumper Stye, forgot to get an actual picture, attached from internet, my bumper does not have washer jets but otherwise bumper & grille identical

I am starting to think all you chaps on here must have the hearts of Lions, I have earned my living for the last 35 yrs rebuilding & restoring Citroen's, maserati's & Panhard's & the terrano is most definitely the most problematic thing I have ever worked on !!!!

Regards Adrian

Nah they are not that bad, have not done anything about the torsion bars as did not want to lay motor on its side unless they were needed, as for reluctor ring yes, as for front bumper I will take a pic of what I have but it is not Grey, also will be a bit delayed as quite busy, Rick

Thumbs up

Hi Rick,
Thank you, at the current rate of progress it could be a while before I'm anywhere near putting the thing back on it's feet.
I can honestly say I have never seen the amount of heavy scale corrosion on everything Like i have encountered on the terrano & I'm used to stuff thats at least 40 yrs old, more like 60 as an average.
If you have a pair of reluctor rings it may prove prudent for me to have them, I'll bet the o/s isn't any better than the nearside , will know in a day or two.
regards Adrian:

Sounds to me like you got a motor that lived on the coast or was dunked in the sea a bit launching a boat, Rick

Hi Rick , sadly not so glamorous, it will be livestock leavings & mud, truck gets some fair use in the yard at home pulling various animal trailers( Horse & sheep ). that & the near complete absence of corrosion protection

Reminds me of when we did one of the first commercial truck plating and testings in Hastings many years ago, it was a circus wagon that carried elephants, and their piss had done so much damage to the chassis, Rick
