It's not just Minis that were small !
A few weeks ago I saw a number of old Ford Mk1 Escorts going to a show - they looked small on the road as do a lot of the TR2/3/4 range if the hood is down.
Cars models have definitely become larger with eack passing decade. It seems as though when the likes of VW brought out the original Mk1 Golf as a "small car"over the decades they just got bigger to respond to consumer demand so they brought out the VW Polo as the new "small car". Then the VW Polos have grown over the years so out comes the VW UP. You get my drift there is no breed standard as with Dogs.lol |

My ex wife had a 1275GT, cracking little motor.
The new Minis are huge in comparison. They seem to have forgotten the whole concept of the word "Mini". |
