Off Road Protection Engine Bay
Hi Chaps,
I'm off on a road trip next week and will be going through a few deep water spots. I'd like to protect / do what i can for under the hood in advance. mainly for the electrical connections etc etc. Doing a little research and i can see there is a spray called innox mx3 that they use heavily over in Australia but not available in the uk. https://www.inoxmx.com/products/mx3-lubricant/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2uu...ature=youtu.be How and what does everyone here prep there cars ? Any tips and advice Thanks |

I sprayed Waxoyl on all my connectors, found it best if it's a bit cold as it goes on thicker.
Here is a video of me wading from Feb this year, it gets very deep, then at about 6:40 it starts getting very very deep, my bum got wet I think I'm going to spray some on my accelerator pedal electrics too, it was fine this time but I have had trouble with it getting wet once before, and try not to get the maf wet inside the tube, they don't flipping like it, speakers don't like getting wet either, mine sound rubbish now Good luck and enjoy mate, it's lots of fun |

I've done it A few times before too, don't fancy it again though. I want to buy a swb terry next year specifically for doing that kind of thing.
