Default Scroll Saws?

I am looking at buying a scroll saw for me and the wife to use... Like all these things, I started looking at the cheap ones, and checking reviews, and basically they all seem to be ripped to bits on the forums.

From what I see, Axminster, Hegner, and Excalibur seem to be the only ones worth buying, if you want to do intricate work, but it seems that the people who post on these forums also have very deep pockets, and money is no object.

So, I know there are a few wood workers and chippys on here, and I wondered if anyone uses a scroll saw, and if so, what have you got, and would you recommend it for intricate work, with lots of internal cut outs?
