Default Maverick Auction

Open to Members of this fantastic forum.

Ford Maverick 1996 2.7 Lwb just over 134000 miles 11 months Mot.
Not modified for performance, all 7 seats, load cover, shite tyres
Runs well, not tested 4x4 since replacing n/s drive shaft. Reg is P303 SGJ if you want to do a check up.

Bad Points: dents in roof by previous owner, tyres, some rust areas need attention, front cross support rear lower arch's need watching & at last Mot there was an advisory on one of the sills. (go figure) a/c not working belt cut off now (thanks Rick, sounds 10 times better now)
Been getting a bit of hesitation, probably due to me letting the tank get low (fuel filter, morrisons fuel ?). Speaking of which the fuel gauge is very erratic below half a tank & sometimes doesn't register straight away.
Does not look so neat & tidy now, obviously my prep work for painting was not good enough

As from Saturday 30th June the Mav will be at Ricks (Big thanks { but I dont want to impose on Ricks generosity for too long so,
This Auction Will End On Tuesday 10th July at 6pm

Opening bid is Now only £300 coc is prefered. Paypal accepted.

Please feel free to ask for more info, I will answer the best I can.

Hi mav96. This will be a zexel variant wont it? I know fuel pump and sensors will be different to my bosch bits but dont you know if alot of the other gear is shared by both types. Things like running gear, suspension components? Is you interior cloth? As leather is killing me in this weather.

Would be a shame to buy it just to pull it to bits to sort things on mine. Especially if anybody knows someone who needs a great truck in their life lol.

Yes it has the zexel setup, cloth interior, drivers seat has a hole in the usual place. All mechanical parts are the same as Teranno for year. It is a Nissan with Ford Badges, if you need parts Ford garages are not usually very helpful.
I have fitted in last 4 years: new center & tail section exhaust, new starter, new front shocks, drop links, replaced rear carpet (Diy job) fitted map lights with sunglasses holder (needs sorting) new front brake disc when bought 4-5 years ago. it will come with a few spares including new oils for front & rear diffs.

Once I get it Ricks I will take some new Pics.

Default This truck has got to be seen

Having had a good look over this Mav today I can honestly say it is one of the most rust free I have ever seen, the pic shows the only bit worth talking about, even the front wings are good including the front bumper outriggers, there is some rust on the front body X member but an easy fix, it needs some tyres, has a fuel gauge fault and a long MOT, this is a cracking motor so come get bidding, if you want any more info just ask, Rick

20% stronger springs all round
aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

Default £500 of anybodies money

I am going in here for 96Mav, this motor really is worth £500, I would buy it now no problem, but Mrs has a very nice example T2 that is even better, and I have a terrific Patrol, and having just sold a T2 and my car trailer I cannot be taking up much needed space again as well as being far too busy and holidays coming up together with the Wales meet, Rick

How do these zexel pumps fair with wvo/svo? I know they are a bosch copy but am I right in saying they struggle with veg?

Looks like this would be a great bargain for someone, too good to be pulled apart for bits.
