Default I was once affiliated with Land Rovers!

This weekend it seems like a bunch of my old Army mates were posting pictures from 'Way Back When' and it's brought back a ton of good memories!

Here's a picture of me in 2003 with my Rover.

You have yet to see Zac's vid of one of the L R's being transported away from our camp site, but seriously, good to reminisce with bygone days, Rick

Talking What's with the Pink Tinge ?

I too like to meet up with old Pals once in a while there is something comforting about reminiscing, I call it "The Waltons" syndrome.

Looking back with Rose coloured spectacles as my late father used to say, that is probably the pink hue in the photo.lol

I was there for about 8 and a half months... Think we had DPM's for the first 3 months!

Thumbs up The Land Rover has its place.

As a purely off road vehicle on a Farm or in the Military I think they belong there and are quite competent in that role.

As a day to day road vehicle I think they are noisy with a dreadful ride & steering. I have never owned one but driven several over the years - I have never felt an urge to own one.

The wipers seem to be a joke with very basic seating to boot, a work mate had one previously owned by the Queen Mother - it was only driven at Sandringham or somewhere similar it was an W reg or thereabouts with only 7k miles on the clock. Despite this he spent a fortune on the drive train, you needed a calendar to measure the 0-60 time, the radio at full belt was inaudible at 50 mph !!
