Default America 2.0

Back in the good old US of A for the second time this year.

Managed to get myself a cheap direct (Newcastle to Orlando) flight. (Cost me £358 return)

I had reserved a 'Full-Size' Pick-Up with the rental company and they had the cheek to give me this...

It's a Honda Ridgeline.

They said that they had nothing else in the lot that they could swap it with.

This morning when I got up, I rang around a couple of the rental car offices close by to see if they could do a vehicle swap for me.

One hour later and a $65 refund for my trouble and I got this beauty!

Better yet, they said I could also return it on an empty tank! (So that will be me pushing it the last 100 yards!)

American cars look great in the States, but ridiculous in this country. However I followed a Mustang this morning.... The boss will never allow it as a company car...

A Texas plated truck 3 states away. Guess someone needed to drive home.

My only gripe with America is that it's full of Americans & I find them irritating

Have a good trip

It's my last day!

Managed to squeeeeeeze the horns into my case, Tank and compressor are in the post back to myself!

Also got Freddy some little cowboy boots so he can be just like his Dad!

But no cowboy out fit is complete without a pair of Wrangler jeans!

There's a night launch tonight of a Falcon 9 rocket... So I'm hoping for good weather and a clear sky so that it goes ahead as planned!
