Doe's your s Leave Splatter marks???

When towing our caravan the exhaust leaves splatter marks on the front of caravan :cry: , so I decided to look round for some sort of exhaust deflector :roll: . So I did a bit of google wacking :smile: and found a few sites that I thought might be able to help :?: , so I did the usuall thing sent off loads of e-mails but I only got one back :cry: . But this one site said they do either 90 or 45 degree bends, so I measured my exhaust again, to my size, mine is 2mm larger than their standard size but they said no worries we'll enlage it £5.00 extra. :smile:

If you visit an exhust specialist, they should be able to make you the same thing up as a custom fit for a few pounds. My local place does this as well as custom built exhuast for modded cars. Its worth searching around.

or you could apply some cling film and remove once on site.

dont laugh this is a caravan club genuine tip. plus can buy a heck of a lot of film for price of an adaptor.

hi I thought of even using pallet wrap but was advised agaist this due to the fact that pallet wrap and other films could leave a sticky mess :wink: anyway I have gone for the 90 degree bend so I'll let you know what happens :roll:

regualr cling film from a supermarket is not sticky as such is it, it more down to its thin ness? that helps it grab/ attach. like when was the CC wrong? lol

Hi all,
I also have the same problem, a friend of mine tried the 90 degree bend but it was of little use when he was moving along at speed,but what is worse than exhaust splatter is the mudflaps are to short and when I go onto fields etc I get Crud all the way up the front and I have to wash it on site, any ideas of how to stop it .

Unfortunately I cannot lower standards, and whilst I live in the great Welsh countryside "mud" as you call it, is part of that scene but I was wondering if NISSAN do longer mud flaps or CRAPPEN FLAPPENS whatever !!!!!!!!!

ok guys we have done the mud subject before whether it be welsh, yorkshire or whereever if you would like me to e-mail a picture of this add-on then just let me know and I'll send you one ( mud will cost extra from the Cambrideshire fens :smile: )

Think mud is easier to remove than exhaust soot. I had a trailer tent that got soot under the cover and on the canvas so if the exhaust bend works it's gotta be worth it.

after the drive down to Italy this year I found this new exhaust deflector worked areal treat no splatter maks what so ever :smile:

They sell simalar things but the exhaust on a Terrano is 62mm and they don't do them that big

Suppose you could always extend the exhaust pipe upwards like on the big trucks, and even fit the rain flap that opens with exhaust pressure , then the crud would go over the top ....... a bit like the suggestion !! 8O :idea: :!:
