Never knew why it was so "good" anyway, what's it do?
The kids came home one day and that's all they could do was do firefox!
Anyway up it's all gone now and the laptops work again

Default most useful programs (Free ones) for computer

CCleaner - cleans the registry and gives you control of start up programs
most up to date version here - http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
set to run at start up should solve most speed issues

use avg free for virus protection: http://free.avg.com/
just be sure to download the free version on the left
set to run once a day at 3am and auto update

then spybot for spyware: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html
update and run once a week.

I run 5 pc's and 2 laptops all with the above....no problems ever.... also set microsoft updates to on or update windows regularly. If your computer is slow after that it'll be your connection and not your pc or laptop.

Hope it helps someone... ps i use ie/firefox and many others .... if they are kept up to date there is very little difference in any.

Bill

Allegedly Firefox (which is just another browser) is less prone to attack than Windows (clearly Bill Gates is a bigger a**ehole than a fox?) and in my case, I use it cos its less prone to bloody popups!!!

Then silly little things, like with IE for a new window you have three menu items, only two with Firefox.

I've had slow running too, except here its bloody Junior with his fecking XBox Live and online war games.....
