Default Unable to open many workshop downloads

When I attempt to open most of the workshop downloads I get a blank screen, with a box in the centre saying Adobe, this box also being empty apart from a question mark in the top left corner and "Ok" in the bottom right hand corner.
Any ideas anyone?

I get that, but if you close the window, and try again, the progress bar jumps forward a bit. Close the window, and do it again, and you get a bit more... took about 20 of these to down load the one I wanted the other day.

Doesn't work if you just leave the page up though.

I thought it was something to do with my set up, but everything else seems fine.

Sounds like you either do not have adobe reader installed, our the version you have is old.

try:

http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

And install the latest - it is free

Thanks for the response guys, I followed Ianinessex link to update Adobe and workshop downloads are opening a treat.
Strangely I allegedly updated Adobe a couple of weeks ago, plus I have automatic updates enabled, so my version should theoretically be the latest - odd.

Maybe not as odd as it seems. The auto updates from Adobe are known for somehow installing the wrong version on the machine
