It does but there must be a reason just about all 2.7 diesel's seem to come up for sale just over the 100k mark

Thumbs up 40k miles over the last 3 years but not without cost!

Ours will turn 110k next week main issue seems to be suspension bushes that are not overly expensive but there are lot of them and if you are unlucky like us leaking injectors.

The wife did the France run last week without problems only managed 31 mpg due to having a heavy right foot. lol

The Mercedes over design is the problem, the injector has an angled drilling (cut by a laser) to inject the fuel into the combustion chamber at the right point for maximum power & economy.

All the common rail engines have this design where the injector has a flat on it so it only fits in the one position a spring clamp with stretch bolts holds them in. Only the pre-common rail engines have screwed in injectors.

I guess with time the spring clamps loose some tension, then the injectors suffer with blow-by. It make the so called Chuff-Chuff noise when they start leaking.
