Smile Sorry I've been quite distracted due to health

Hi folks I let my membership briefly lapse due to a couple of issues as follows.

1) I have bought a Honda CB400F2 to restore so have been busy on the Honda - sohc website. My planned 12 month full restoration might have to be shortened to a 3 month oily rag one depending on my health issues.

2) I had a brief stay in hospital on the 1st September 2020 with blood in my pee, at the moment I am pending the results of an CT Scan last Saturday 12th Sept 2020. I have a fair sized tumour on my right kidney that is in all likelihood going to be removed provided it has not spread - and an anaesthetist will take me on with my heart failure.

3) Part of my coping strategy is returning here for help as I have always found a central core of members here that are very supportive.

4) I still have the WJ & WK Jeeps !!

Good to see you back! And sorry to hear about your ill health.

Whilst looking on a couple of Jeep forums a stumbled across your name.

Fingers crossed for the results of the CT scan and that you can quickly return to the Honda.

Thumbs up Thanks for your comments.

I have a telephone consultation with the Urology Consultant on Monday 21st September 2020 I should know by then what the situation is as regards potential removal of my right kidney.
I am making an assumption that there has been a Multi Disciplinary Meeting as they meet on Wednesday afternoons.

The Consultant Mr Williams is I believe the only one in the department that can carry out the particular type surgery that is required - at least he was about 5 years ago when my wife worked on Reception in the Urology Day Case Unit.

Sorry to hear of your health issues. The bit that did my head in wasn't the diagnosis but waiting to find out results and what type of treatment I would receive.

Thumbs up So far it hasn't spread beyound right kidney

Only 3 hours late I got the phone call - good news they say it does not appear to have spread so they will whip out the right kidney before the end of October 2020 !!

It was a long wait!

Thanks Rick,
I'm now looking to get as much work done on the Honda over the next few weeks - no rush the Grim Reaper has put his Scythe back in his tool shed for now!
