aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

I can ask around for you
This style is around £100 from brit part.
Easily made and can be up scaled for extra stakes.

Thanks Elty, that one is flat plate so not very good, poor pin stability, however prompted by you suggestion I have found a supplier of the MOD style pins, so will probably get ten of them, been looking for ages but none ever came up, I can make the tube out of something a bit bigger than the MOD one so giving better pin stability, Rick

I did not even bother to try it on Sunday, the only way that item could work is if it found a good root to hang onto, but roots mean trees and there were no trees, the type I am looking at is a round steel tube about 4 inches in diameter with loops welded on the ends, then long steel rods are pushed/hammered through the holes at angles into the ground, because the rods go through the top and bottom of the tube it stops them being pulled over at an angle and then simply being drawn out of the dirt, Rick

I know nothing about this stuff but have you tried a boat anchor in soft ground, it will bury itself
