Ran on Kero for 50 Ltrs as a test with sunflower oil and runs well, I did check the exhaust gas temp and was around 80 C, running on derv now till bulk kero arrives and it is smoking slightly as before, with exhaust at just over 100 C, Rick

Results re EGT are not accurate at the mo as only run genny for washing machine and as such the load varies too much and will therefore have a big effect on gas temperature, I have to say that I am thinking along the lines of running the wash machines on the spare inverter when it is sunny as we have loads spare capacity on a good day thus cutting the fuel usage out completely when the weather is good, Rick
