New member from Norway
Hello everyone.
I just found this website and registered ASAP. Im from Norway, so I hope you all can excuse my poor english. I'm driving a Patrol Y60 '95 with a 4.2 engine, 2,5" Ironman and 37x13,5x15 tyres. Im a member of Nissan4x4 Norway, Hordaland offroaders and a team called www.nb2.no (Budapest-Bamako run). Im usually doing my offroading in Modalen, Hordaland. If anyone would like to come visit and do some offroading in Norway, please contact me and I will try to help. If anyone would like to see some pictures from Norway, i'll be glad to post some links and/or pictures. I'm looking forward to see what you are doing in the UK. |

Hi and welcome to the club.
It's nice to have members from overseas. They offer other ideas and experiences. When your full membership comes through you will see we have members from all over the world. There are many interesting posts on Patrols at the moment. One member is doing a total rebuild, starting with a "newer" chassis. We think his original one had been crossing the sea at some point.. Regarding your "Poor English", I can't fault it, we have more problems with some members over here..... Best regards, Rustic

Hi Injurious & welcome. You have found what is probably the best 4x4 club there is. Help & advice when you need it - once you have paid your £10 and become a full member you will save that money many times over - in fact when I joined I saved mine plus some the first day by curing what I thought was front drive shafts gone, but turned out to be just a blob of grease needed in the right places - this was as a result of advice from other members. Best £10 I've ever spent!

Thanks for the warm welcome
I have done some modifications on the car, i will go for the full membership and post some pictures so you all can have a look.
In Norway most of us like big tyres, its very good for snow driving and also in mud and steep hills. She car is at the time 2,5" spring raised. Due to some scrubbing and loss of parts around the wheels i´m now raising it to 4" (new springs) on the rear wheels. In snow i use about 0,3 bar in the tyres... its like driving a tank. i have some videos (som bad quality) in youtube if anyone´d like to have a look, just search for "Injurius" and you will find it. Thx again for making me feel welcome! |

Parts are very expensive, i usually buy parts at Milners in the UK. Pices are about 70% lower at Milners than at the local "stealer". The vids i am using is made in Norway, costs about 500 gbp.... 20 cm fits 12,5" tyres, so u can see all the mud im getting on the sides of the car when using 13,5" |
