Hi all,
My names Dave and I'm new on here. We had been looking for a 4x4 for a several months and had not even considered or thought about a Maverick. Always best to do some research befor buying I know, but I just thought that as it's Ford it would be as cheap to run and maintain as my old Mondeo, wrong! Dave |

Hi Dave & welcome to the club  I used to have a mondeo 2L zetec S & it cost me a bomb to fix & run  My T2 on the other hand has been cheaper to fix & to run. I would say that your Maverick will be alot heavier than your Mondeo & it'll prob be lower geared aswell. What you have said about the mpg I would think it's about right for the short trips your doing
