Default another newbie

hello everybody new bloke from swansea here,had my new (05) navara d22 deliverd in the dark last night,cant wait for it to get light so i can get out there & start playing with it,been driving a motorhome around for the last 5 years it will be nice to get back into a 4x4 after all that time.

I like the look of them but as you probably know they have had issues with the engines that affected about 5% of those made. I understand it was often poor maintenance that was a contributing factor. Nissan extended the warranty on the engines to restore faith after they fixed the cause of bent con rods. Yours might have been fixed when it was under warranty so service history is a must I guess.

My brother in law had one but after head gasket failure and some reliability issues he got rid after less than a years ownership.

20% stronger springs all round
aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

Oh yessssss, the YD25 loves to throw the bottom end due to oil pathway issues at around 80k

That's why the TD27 makes big bucks when sent over to our cousins in Africa

yes i know all about the engine problem,not worried about that,its a one owner well maintained truck & it will have an easy life with me the heaviest thing it will be carrying from now on will be two bicycles & me & the missis.
