I have to say we have thoroughly enjoyed every lane meet we have been on so far, long may it continue, it is good to meet up, but I do also love a really well stuck motor and a winch challenge, the more blocks and straps I need to deploy the better, and the Lokka helps me get into the mire in order to meet that challenge, Rick

Manly winch bumper with 13000 lb winch
10 spike ground anchor, with multiple straps and blocks
Super strong body cills capped with scaffold pole
20% stronger springs all round
aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

I bet I could get just as stuck without a lokka

not saying they don't have a place but on a motor like mine that doesn't do pay and plays or challenge events and is set up for touring and laning i just see it as not needed.
Been laning for over 25 years in various motors and never had or needed a lokka.

Absolutely agree mate. I love my laning too, especially the group banter etc.
I've found more challenges doing trials from time to time though , gets the adrenaline up 😁

I first got into 4x4's with trailing when i was 14.
My cousin had a series 2A lawn rover which he used to take part in.
My uncle was security for a scrap yard and lived in a bungalow on site so in the evenings when everything was shut down he learned me how to drive in the rough stuff at the age of 15.
First 4x4 was an sj410 and I've had one of some kind ever since.

Like i said it's not my thing,Prefer the slow and technical off road driving.
I suppose if i had an old ratter i didn't give a toss about i would give it a go

I'm serious though mate, never felt the need for a front lokka.
If i did it would be an air controlled one that i can pick and choose when to use it
