Default Rolls Royce recovery

Yep recovered a Roller today, passed this old guy with his lovely 1928 20HP reg KW 4043 on the side of the road with the bonnet up, seems he neglected to undo the fuel cap and once the sun got on the tank it heated and forced fuel through which flooded it and flattened the battery trying, I offered a jump start but think he was all in and as he only lived less that half mile away offered a tow, so at a sedate 20 MPH max, as not sure how his brakes and steering could cope, sadly neglected to take any pics as I was now late for a job, but got a nice bottle of red, may get a chance to get a pic or two in the future, Rick

aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap.
Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare.

good on you.
many years ago i passed a viva with his bonnet up on my way to jaywick.
on my way back he was still there with wife and kids so i pulled up in front of him.i introduced myself to them.
it was not his battery as it just stopped on his way,i did a bit of looking and ended up taking the top off of his carb and cleand fuel pot blew through jets and put it back together,he thanked me and offered something but said no i did it because i could and away he went a happy chap.
i had my workshop then and always carried tools as often went out on breakdown.
