well, I think its worth a tenner easy. Paid mine happily. I dont get half the comments in this thread. Theres sections for particular questions and sections for banter. I find each one with relevent information in it, and lots of it, whats the issue? I didnt realise some people expected specific and limited 4x4 related stuff on here, whats theproblem with a bit of joking and regular banter? doesnt that help us get to know each other a bit, make friends?
Ive made a few friends, again, well worth paying a tenner to get the full access that brought them to me. The positives on this site far out weigh the silly negatives I keep reading about, if there is anything there is too much of on this site, is people whinging about stuff they think shouldnt be here. give it a rest. If there isnt enough technical stuff for you to read about one day, dont complain that theres more jokes, post somert technical then? fact is, this site has gotit covered in terms of know how, jesus, you can find a fix for everything, this means the site can be more relaxed and open itself up to a lot more than "hey look at me and my muddy tyres" I need a kip. |

the technical sections are over to the left of this page under site navigation if you wish to peruse those ,
alternatively there is often discussions on various issues and problems in the threads it is after all a forum .... ie a community of people with a shared interest and as such there is bound to be disagreements and differences of opinion , but in general its a fun place to be , and very helpfull |

Well my membership will be renewed, this forum is similar to another i regularly go on,
http://www.clarets-mad.co.uk/ Though a football fansite the content is very much a slice of everyday life, it`s people with similar interests often sounding of about random things, getting random replies but with the benefit of knowing technical help is always available. Ok some aspects could be improved but if there is something missing surely you can post about what is missing and get what you want. Sorry if this post is a bit incorrect grammatically but just got out of bed and my brain hasn`t fully engaged yet. I LIKE THIS FORUM . |

I also like the fact that we have a range of back grounds, abilities, knowledge and of course experience.
If I need advice on issues, I tend to post first on here. Topics that have been discussed are things like: Home insurance can save 100's Car insurance, and pit falls by experience, can save 100's. Computer issues, crashes and viruses have saved many members scores of pounds. Which is the best Net book. Saves frustration and a few pounds. Which is the best dongle for remote access of laptops and computers etc. How to Tile floors. Security at home. Open discussions on current affairs. It was on this site that I found out that News of the World was closing. Maximum trailer weight / speed etc Best caravan. Rust prevention. How and where to pick up skills, like welding. Problems with other vehicles, can save a lot on reliability issues. ..... The list goes on. Then there's Briggies jokes. I rest my case...

Just a figure of speech
Quote:
I notice his been quite & hasn't found any dirt on me.! AS THERE ISN'T ANY.! & HE DIDN'T argue or de"nye" any of it.! His lucky a few other member's didn't join in.! Anyway, that's in the past -------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway I think the whole forum has become more like a facebook type forum rather than a 4x4 forum. I have said on here & other forum's that for mechanical help you can't & won't beat the knowledge & upload's on here But the thread's in general don't relate to 4x4's. I'm not just talking about Green Laning & Pay'n'Play site's, even the Tin Tent banter has died of death... We are all individual's with our own opinion's & SHOULD be aloud to share them without being BARED or DELETED. The "BAR" should be open to all topic's as long as there isn't excessive swearing / porn etc. But it isn't Make use of the "Chat Box" so it clear's after the set time... The floor to the club is no National / Regional or Local meet's. I tried as did extreme-4x4 to no avail I tried & it wasn't just Green Laning, shooting, Go-Karting, Pub meet's but nothing... |

I think what happened in September is, to a degree, what is being aired here?
Time to call it a day I think, but not renewing will only prove the point to yourself mate and it would be a shame to loose you |
