Why does it need more lift? it's a expedition vehicle

The rear might be feeling like a rear locker, but have you thought that it's got a lsd with the wrong oil in?

Has it got full axle diff locks or just centre diff lock for the transfer box?

it is the front that feels funny when the diffs are locked but i have never driven an off roader so it may be normal i am not sure.

i am not sure what you mean by axle diff or just centre diff lock (sorry new to this) but i do know that the i was told to put it in 4wd and then turn the centre caps to lock the diffs that is all tha i was told.

what you reccomend as a first service ?

Engine Oil
Filters
Plugs

Maybe :

Diff oil?
Gear box oil?

And do you know why my power starring would weep a drop of fluid on full lock?

Progress picks up soon

thanks for looking folks

Hello Folks

A bit of a progress update for you.

Now I know this wont be to everyone’s taste but I like to be different so here is my work so far.

as you can tell the green is mine and the pink is my girlfriends i will probably get some stick for this but it is the truth

this is fixed on to the roof so wanted to make it match.

next job will be to paint the tail gate and a few other bits then get started on the bonnet as the previous owner sprayed over blistered paint and it looks really poor.

watch this space.

Pay up your 10 quid 15dollars ish and get the whole manual online No Haynes available.
DO NOT ENGAGE 4X4 ON THE TARMAC that's why it "feels funny" You've got transmision wind up. Only use 4x4 off road or on loose surfaces as there is no center diff on these trucks
I'd change all the oils for piece of mind

Pay your £10 or I'll tell Rolf Harris joke on your posts. Don't forget limited slip diff oil to change. David.

The transfer box in the lump on the back of the gearbox, theres a drain plug on both gear and transfer box, they are on the bottom, and the filler plugs are usually on the side, the oil type is GL4, SX75W-90

here's a thread i done about filling the gearbox

http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/f...ad.php?t=16552

and here's one of what the gearbox and transfer box look like, so youll have an idea of where the transfer box is

hope that helps
