Default Where’s Everyone Gone?

Hi guys where are you all? Have you all gone on holiday?

Think the weather is cooling now after the hot bank holiday. I’ve got plans!

Have said for sometime that my fleet needs slimming down a little, 2 terranos and a skoda Roomster not to mention a project mg and the probability of a spitfire joining us too. So looks like both Terranos will be going and being replaced by a vw transporter van to convert into a camper. It’s going to be hard pxing the Terranos as I’ve owned a Terrano since 2002. It’s been a great experience and loved the trucks, still do but I think the time has come to have a change. As most will know I had a bit of a health kick up the backside so me and the mrs have decided we need to spend more quality time together and we think a camper will help us along the way.

The search has only just begun to could be a while yet before we finally take the plunge. It’ll be difficult parting company with them but the reality is that I just don’t think that I am fit enough to keep up to the repairs myself. Not even sure I’ll be able to complete the mg and spit so they may go too.

Thumbs up The reality Terranos are getting long in the tooth !

You are right Jim - the fight against age is not just about our bodies but also the reality of an ageing Nissan body.

We loved our r3mR to bits but had to jump ship to the unlikely manufacturer of Jeep. As you know I am a great admirer of Mercedes but the elevated price of used ones made us look elsewhere.

The lad at the local car spares emporium has a 4x4 a Ssangyong Rexton thing that his Mum gave him as it's trade in value was about £500 (she had bought it new) - but it is ultra cheap with a Mercedes based 2.9 Litre 5 cylinder engine.

I still love the Nissan Patrol but in reality my next purchase if there is one will probably be a Jeep Grand Cherokee like Lazy-Ferrets.

It's still hot out here and been very bussy at work and at home.
We have 5000 square meters of land and that needs some attention in the hot days.
Going in holiday next monday for a week, been a couple of years since we went away.

I'm just back from my Holibob!

We went to America and took the little'un to Disneyland!

This year I hired a lifted GMC Sierra 3500HD! (It even makes HUMMER's look small!)

Next to an England sized car.

Next to a HUMMER H2.

Next to us!

Was an awesome holiday. Can't wait to go back.... Might take a while to clear the credit card bill tho!

The coast to coast trip you guys went on looked like a lark... I'd love to be in on the next one!

That looks like a good day out right there!

I have the original shocks of my Patrol if you think they'd fit?

Whereabouts is the overgrown lane Doug??
We came across one just like that near sandsend.
Been told that it was open and drivable but still had a no motors sign and no signs of it being driven recently.
