Thanks guys, Insurance money will take about 2-4weeks to come through, I need a car by Tuesday 8O The mondeo's only £3,300 and will keep for a little while then look for another 4x4, but there aren't many about my way
will definetly buy another 4x4 as if i was in a normal car I believe i wouldn't be here talking about it,

but if the accident was not your fault then you should get a higher car from the other persons insurance, there are companys in the uk that specialise in this.

Mundy so sorry to here about your misfortune mate. Sounds like you were very lucky, Real glad that you are OK thogh  I am and I am sure the the rest of the club members are really gutted for you as well. Like robyice say's can'rt you get your insurance company to sort you out a hire car. If it is not your fault as you say I thought you you would be able to do that.
Don't forget that when you get offered the settlement figure you MUST advise them that you want to claim for loss of use of YOUR VEHICLE inconveince money, when I had my old F plate honda accord I had written off in a Shell Garge by a Mercedes Sprinter with a trailer as he came past me my drivers door was open slightly and he took it with him to about 45 degrees the other way  . Any way I got about £700 just for that and £400 for the car I only paid £150.00 -dance- , I only bought it cos I needed a cheapy car to get to work.

RESULT
Happy Dazzzzz ££1100 bought me a nice set of alloys, side steps, bug deflector, and my GPS -dance- -mex- -welldone- .

So Mate make sure you claim that inconveince money it will help towards the replacement.

All the very

As I'm 18 I wouldn't be able to drive a rental car/courtesy car, my Dad could but wouldn't be insured to drive one You have to be over 21 or 25

Will look into compensation, I did well out of my last accident when the bloke drove into the back of me

Picking mondeo up tuesday, well Dad is, I'll be in stoke with his company car : 07 reg Shogun top of range 8)

Sorry to hear of your probs and misfortunes.
I know it might be a long way from where you are but I seen a very nice V reg Terrano II down in a garage in Somerset for £4400, don't know the mileage, but have seen lots of vehicles down that part of the country at very reasonable prices, maybe someone on the forum could give you more info.
The garage was just before the large Car Auctions in Bridgewater heading into Bridgewater from Highbridge.
Don't know if it helps or not :?:

I haven't got much more info apart from what I've already posted, sorry.
except that the garage is approximately 500 to 600 yards from the Car Auction Site in the direction of Highbridge, and the colour was a Sky Blue as opposed to Navy, hopefully your friend will be able to give you more details :|
