Movember 2018
oops I forgot to bother you all on my 2018 Movember trials
My friends and I have cycled 1000s of miles the last few years but I wanted to push a new challenge this year. So like a lemon I agreed to do a 5K run at the end of the month I never run, even from tigers , following the James May mantra, " I do not run" Maybe when I was 12 or something but that was 50 years ago I'm almost at 5k distance and just about getting under 10 min/mile pace . I have 2 more training sessions and then 9am Sat I'm off on the real run. All very well but the real reason for this here thread is to tap you up guys. As you know, we've lost some good people from here and maybe others yet to be touched. I'm doing my bit to raise funds and simply ask you to follow the link below and give a little lift to our cause Thankyouplease in anticipation https://mobro.co/marinerstaches?mc=1 |

Done.
I know how difficult it is to transition from bike to trainers and a 5km run is not easy for a non-runner. Good luck. |

Update
Evenin' all.
Just a little heads up on life the universe and everything I have spent over 50 years not running, and 5 weeks ago accepted a challenge to run 5k I can't actually believe it but last night I did actually run the 5k distance all in one go Today I hear that a great old friend decided to top himself . How low down can you be to take that road ? I have been so lucky I guess to be unable to answer that Tomorrow morning I'm doing my actual 5k run in a park at stupid o'clock. I'll be thinking of my old mate as I go round . I'd like you guys to think of friends you've lost too. May have been cancer, suicide or plane old bad luck. Anyroad up, bung us a quid or two for the cause and lets try and stop another one. https://mobro.co/marinerstaches?mc=1 |
