With wheel trims, you need to make sure the edge of the trim does NOT go past the edge of the wheelrim. You must have it slightly shy of the rim edge.

The reason for this is to stop the trim cutting the tyre wall during cornering/bouncing as you travel - especially tight turns! Here the tyre wall is forced outwards, and a plastic trim edge can cut into the tyre wall and cause a blowout later on.

Alloys wheels are available for caravans, most caravan shops sell them from £60 each - this may be a better option, as at least you know they are the real thing.

Caravan Breakers are also an option - there are plenty of stolen recovered, or matchstick martyrs around that wheel can to taken from.

If you stand and watch a large twin axle caravan being manoeuvred around tight bends you will be surprised how much sideways pressure is put on the tyres! Hence me saying be careful with car alloys as they may not take the strain

good train of thought guys. yes and on caravans traditionally the
tyre has been the first level of suspension so full(ish) profile tyres
make more sense than car derived fashion low profiles.

may go back to first alternative plan bin trims as rims are shiny
black and give some of these wheel nut movement indicators,
which for what like form make up in function.

could make outfit match by getting troll's alloys blackened, well filthy
anyway....

Default Wheel upgrade

That sonds like the best option to put new trims on 4 safty sake, pluss isurance complications if if needing to claim

IF you do go to a breakers you don't need a full set of matching trims.. just 2 of each if thats all they have that look the part.

If anyone can see all four wheels at the same time then things have gone real pear shaped.
