Snap their bloody arm off for that gearbox then get it put on a pallet to your new garage! (after getting a reasonable all inclusive total price from them for fitting of course)

I spoke to the garage that has Briggie's Mistral this afternoon.

They have arranged a courier to collect the box and deliver it to their garage.

I have sent the garage £322.46 (£265 for the box + £57.46 for the courier fee). They estimated labor being £300 so, we will pay that once we have the final bill.

That is going to leave approximately £300 in 'the fund', once Briggie is back on the road we will have to work out where that money goes.

I like the way you're thinking. It could also be worth saving as a bit of insurance against any nasty MOT surprises. Isn't the windscreen shot as well?
