Default Maverick 2.4 Owner from Worksop

Hi guys and girls. Just picked a 97 Maverick 2.4 up whilst my Sportrak is off the road. Car itself is pretty clean apart from a leaky sump and some small bits of welding.
At some point i'll be wanting to throw a few bits at it for some green lane fun when things have settled, where can such bits be bought? Winch bumpers, lift kits and other little goodies? Also, i'm looking for a spare set of wheels if anyone is selling lol!
Thanks

Hiya mate and welcome.
Off the shelf parts are not readily available for Terrano's and Mavericks but not impossible to find. Suspension is pretty easy to find, bumpers etc. will probably be an import job, the Spaniards do them I think.

Thank you. And yeah i've soon found that out lol. I'm not looking for anything too exciting, just some new wheels/tyres, a winch bumper and a lift kit for now. I've not done any green laning so not jumping in too deep for the time being.

Thought I recognised the motor
You're on the right group for proper knowledge of these motors.

Get a good set of tyres, I'd avoid lifting it until you need to go bigger tyres. I used to a run a standard mav on mediocre tyres and took it some places.

It's nice to see an active forum to be honest, most died off with FB groups. Gonna spend quite some time having a read. Just a shame the 2.4 isn't very popular lol. And I need to grab some fresh pics but its currently jacked up waiting for a new sump as the old one is a little leaky at the moment.

I started looking at tyres but ended up looking at new wheels too. The original ones are a little tired looking so have been seeing whats available before I pull the trigger on some new tyres. Have you ever tried the Hifly's? 80% will be road driving so not after anything aggressive.

Thanks matey, she's pretty clean as far as Mavericks/Terranos go which is why I bit the bullet. And i'm sad that I didn't buy one sooner lol.

And i'm just looking at some aftermarket wheels but there's varying offsets listed for the terrano, especially on milners website. Only looking at some steel wheels though.

I had a quick peek at your project thread earlier and it looks like you've put a lot of work into yours. Need to sit down and have a good read through it lol.

I ran 245/75/16's on my long wheel base with standard suspension with no worries, they are only an inch bigger than standard though.
I have a 2" lift now and am getting some 265/75/16's which seem to be a really good choice for the Terrano

I'm still on the standard 15's at the moment but looking at the modulars/steel wheels available I might end up going up a size.

And did you haha? Should have said hello!

And yes they do. I've found the original part number which shows it fits a few different engines but only the KA24E available over here. I'm picking a second hand sump up on tuesday all being well. Should do me for the time being till I can get a new one ordered from Nissan/Ford.

Forgot to say I've just fitted some 30mm spacers, from milners. I like my alloys and want to keep them so bought spacers instead of steelies.
For tyres check out https://www.camskill.co.uk and search in suv/4x4 summer
