Tyre Size

Hey guys.
This has probably been asked before... I've had a look around the forum, but it's a needle in a hay stack scenario.
What size tyre (in circumference) can I go up to without any problems?
I'd like to leave the mud flaps in place, though I have no objection to trimming them if I have to.
I see Elty has had 265/75 15s fitted in the past on his project thread, but he did a 2" spring lift too.
Are 265/75s an option at standard height?

The new truck is nearly ready for some new boots & I'd like to bring the speedo into line with the correct speed & lower the revs slightly at speed.

You defo running 15" rims? 265 75 15's are 30.6 inches, I have 245 75 16's which are 30.5 inches, I ran them with the standard/old/worn and sagging suspension with no problems at all, I have a lift now but had no probs before the lift

I'm going an inch bigger next time with 265 75 16's which will be approx 31.6 inches. The actual size of the tyre varies a little with manufacturer too!

Silly me, I don't know why I put 15". They're 16" rims

Also the manufacturer and tread pattern can make a big difference to the overall size.
The only problem i had running tyres that wide was them rubbing on the power steering box on full lock.

I've been running 265/70R16's now for a little over a week & all I had to do was trim the front mud flaps a little, because of the extra profile. No rubbing anywhere else.
No spacers where needed. My speedo is now 1mph over than true, which I can live with

Having read, re-read, and then read again, I take it you mean 265's? I run 235/70 16's which are not even close to touching anything.

I don't think there can ever be enough info on types of tyres and sizes
