Knowing this stuff after a trip is where you can really start to personalise you're vehicle. More importantly what stuff you need to carry and the stuff you can do without!

I'm surprised you say she's underpowered.
Have you Dawes & needle valved her yet?

If you're considering a new performance exhaust, the Patrol's can be chipped easily.
That'll give you a bit more oomph.
Exhaust is my last mod on the to do list. Everyone I know says do it and allow you're truck to really breathe for the first time. I can't wait, but alas, pennies...

Keep you're thoughts and ideas coming though mate.
Davey, have you looked at just getting the stainless tubing and bends and fitting a straight through yourself? If you're just replacing from the downpipe or flexi it's fairly simple to do and doesn't cost the earth

That’s great thinking Rob.
I’ve found a couple of guys that are s**t hot race preppers.
They do just what you’ve suggested with all their projects cos they like the full bore aspect of the manufactured bends.
Their ss welding is brilliant and they can turn the job around in a morning.
Should be about £350 all in.
I haven’t had that much experience with welding yet but I like your idea though.thumb2

No,3" straight off the turbo and back. I'll have to add a muffler somewhere.
If I have to get a cat back on I'll go for a freeflow sport type, but I'd rather not.

You'd be surprised how much sound is muffled by the turbo on the ZD30, I didn’t run any silencers on my Y61 and she wasn't obnoxious, just nicely meaty

I want a bigger dump pipe for mine, then 2 1/2 or 3"

That's interesting Rob.
Did you retain a cat on your system?
Did you feel the difference with a straight through?

Yeh I only replaced after the downpipe and the downpipe is where the cat lives on the ZD30. Big difference without the silencers bud
