Default Direct Access Course

Guys I need to get this booked sharpish but don't have the foggiest on the subject and wanted some clarification from someone that's possibly already had to do the same

I have my Gilera Runner 125cc 2 stroke sitting in the garage doing nothing dying to be used with an MOT on it

As far as I can work out, at a bare minimum I only need to do a CBT which will enable me to ride anything up to 125cc on "L" plates for 2 years. This does mean though that I can't ride on the motorway still and I can't carry a passenger?

I've always toyed of the idea that when I had enough of a disposable income i'd like to try and get a bike on the road so I might end up chopping the 125cc in after a few months in search of something more powerful. This being the case it's probably best that I just do a "Direct Access" course?

This then prepares me for Module 1 & Module 2?

Discuss please guys

Sounds about right. It's been a few years since I passed my test. I passed on a 125 so was restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. Had myself an old Suzuki GT 250 which was 33bhp. In the 2 years I saved my penny's and bought a cbr600 when my restriction ended. It cost me £80 for a lesson and test. I thought about direct access but didn't have the money for a bigger bike so was in no hurry.

I thought the same as Elty, but then again I did mine over 12 years ago!

(I've never said that out loud! )

Things change so fast these days!
