'Tis the season of goodwill to all men (women and children).
Well that's a six months that I don't want to repeat, nothing big going on, just a constant barrage of rubbish that slowly wears you down... But I guess that it could be worse.
I'm sort of back around now and on the look out for some bits for the truck. Who's organising the next meet? And, a premature, Merry Christmas to one and all! |

I've been watching some Living The van Life videos and it looks very tempting... If I could find somewhere for the record player and hifi to go I could be looking for a T25 syncro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0-aq7PhUNQ I've just sent a message too. |

When petrol was 4s 10p a gallon!!

Even when I was young & healthy & I did some camping in Snowdonia with a Vauxhall Viva (HA) Van with a mattress in the back the bit that always put me off was the lack of a toilet for a sitting down job. I loved the fresh air, the views - didn't miss a sink or TV though. Back then I would go with a mate for a 4 day weekend - the cost of fuel from Derby to Wales & back with food and drink still left me with change out of a Fiver. Back then 4 Galls of Esso Extra left you with 4 pence change out of a Pound Note. We shared the petrol cost - most Easters, Whitsuns and during the Summer holidays from 1965-1968. Happy carefree days.........zzzzzzzzz |
