Re this digger machine track roller
So here we are waiting for a new billet of steel to make a new track roller for this obsolete digger, Rick

I was going to ask you if it wouldn’t be quicker and better to make a new one. As the old one didn’t look too well.

The first time I saw it I thought I could get a couple of bits of thick wall tube and make one up but stock tube is not available in the sizes I needed so started hunting billets, and struck lucky, I needed 100mm round by 100mm long and this firm had just the one piece for £20 quite looking forward to some nice heavy turning, bought a couple of tungsten tipped boring bars as well for total £9 I have loads of other tool stock but always been short on boring tools so this was a good excuse to get some more, Rick

Looking forward to some pictures of the turning process Rick  :thumbs

This gives a bore big enough to get the boring bar in later but for now I can use a live centre to stabilise the job in the chuck while I turn down the outside
