Default Stolen tail light

I'm so angry :x last night I didn't put the car on the drive because I was tired and some (insert really bad word here) has nicked my drivers side tail light!!

my wife smashed our n/s/r got a replacement from parts gateway £30 including delivery, i tried to get a new one from ford but they had trouble locating one

Still worth putting some security screws on these if possible, as per an earlier thread, you could use different ones on diagonals or somehow fit nuts and bolts with locknuts on the back, that way they will need to get to the back as well. Pig of a job to replace a bulb though...
Price we will have to pay I guess...
Might do something with mine this weekend, front indicators and fog lights are vulnerable as well...
What else can they nick if they have a screw driver? better check...

I guess you could put an electrical contact on one of the screws to sound the horn or flash the lights or something... if it is tampered with..

You can get some security screws called snake eyes but i dont know if you can get them with this type of thread.

I got a new light fitted on Thurs. Had to pay through the nose for a ford one or would have been off the road 5 more days, which would have meant a higher taxi bill than light costs.

Not only did they cut the light wires but through the tow bar wires too. It's all sorted and I'm going to put it on the drive religiously.

The guy at my garage said it's very difficult to make them more secure.

You were lucky to get them from ford they could not get mine for two weeks as they claimed none in the country???? :?: :roll:
